My name is Tim Daniel, the author of The Pursuit of Nobility and founder of The New Nobility Project.
Growing into a life of nobility is a big change from living a life of ordinary pursuits. When it comes to making big life changes it is helpful in the early stages to have a safe, nutrient rich play-space in which to try on a new way of life to see how it fits. Here in the Noble Tavern you can do that. You can find other people who have been feeling the same feelings and thinking the same thoughts. You can dream dreams of your future and your place in the future of humanity. You can express those thoughts, feelings and dreams and see how you come across to others who might be like you. With that feedback you can then up your game and go another round.
In nature a state of play is where unplanned learning occurs, where animals that must accumulate complex skills to survive in a challenging environment discover that indeed they do have if not those skills, at least the ability to acquire them. We are a social species. We discover who we really are and what we were born to become – in the real rough and tumble of a living, dynamic community.
This tavern is the first public entry point into The New Nobility Project – a real, in-person community of active experimenters. Come on in and hang out with us. Give some of yourself. Go beyond repeating yourself – and here, in this fun and safe place, take the next step in completing yourself. Then help us complete this place by making it an even better, richer, more fun and interesting place to gather. If you like this place – invite the few rare people you know who would really benefit from hanging out here.
If we get it right, I suspect some of the great social experiments that will someday rock the future will be whispered first in this digital space. In those first exchanges I believe some of the most creative and courageous souls of a destined generation will be discovered here as well. It also my dream that some of the initial introductions that will lead to the dynamic duos, teams and alliances that will crack open the future will be made right here.
